Gladwyns Lodge

There is a huge selection of walks right on the doorstep, the red lines and dotted lines on the map depict the pathways and bridleways available.  You can hit the trails without ever touching a road, and the more adventurous can pick from a fantastic range of destinations.  Starting as close as under a mile, you even have a choice of six public houses within three miles.  The beautiful village of Thaxted is 1.5 miles away, and can be reached by paths without walking a main road.

With 6 wildlife trust nature reserves within ten miles, the opportunity to see a wide range of wildlife is excellent, in addition to the animals you may see in and around Gladwyns Lodge.  

We recommend that your bring Wellingtons or good, cleanable walking boots in the Winter, this is the countryside after all!  There is a boot scraper and bench at the Lodge to help once you are back from your walks.
